About Us

Stonehouse Jack

L-R: Paul Hennefer (Guitar), Simon Hill (Bass Guitar), Pippa Try (Guitar and Vocals) and Simon Cheshire (Drums)

Stonehouse Jack are a Birmingham based rock band and we make new music. We started off as a rogue folk rock duo founded by Simon Hill (Bass Guitar) and Pippa Try (Guitar and Vocals), who were joined in 2017 by Paul Hennefer on lead guitar and Simon Cheshire on Drums.

Musical influences include Red Hot Chili Peppers, Incubus, Led Zeppelin and Jimi Hendrix as well as 50s rockabilly, southern rock and loads of stuff in between.

Pip and Si released Stonehouse Jack’s first home-made single Dig Deeper online in July 2016, which was followed up with an EP of four tracks including Contradictions, Wishing Well and Rosetta, released in October 2016.

In May 2017 we crowdfunded to record a new 4 track EP with producer George Shilling. Listen free here:

We’re currently getting ready to hit the gig circuit as a full band in early 2018. We’re also working on a music video and preparing for our new EP’s wider release on Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer, Amazon and other platforms later this year.
